Martell’s Waters Edge Wedding Photographer: Kerri & Tim

by Lisa Rhinehart on 11-29-2012

Kerri and Tim’s Nautical-themed wedding was elegant and timeless and featured elements of the couple’s family and faith.   The men in the bridal party arrived at Martell’s Waters Edge via Kerri’s parent’s boat which was decked out in traditional celebratory flags, they tied a literal knot together (which you will see later) and the dance floor was hopping with friends and family.  Their wedding was one day before Hurricane Sandy hit, so while it was windy, it was literally the calm before a disastrous storm and it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit or effect the joyful celebration of this very fortunate group.

Um Kerri, you are gorgeous, and I love your pearls– so pretty!

Kerri & Tim “tied the knot” with a reference to Ecclesiastes 4:12 “And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken,” so the three strands of the cord represent God, Tim, and Kerri.  ;)

Every summer, there is an A-Cat sailboat “fleet” in the Barnegat Bay area that races weekly. Kerri’s dad has worked on most of the A-Cats and they have even participated in some of the races.  So the centerpieces were sailboats modeled after the specific boats in this fleet. The workers at de Rouville’s Boat Shop can be credited for the intricate construction and painting of the model sailboats.
